Responsibilities:
Understands and adheres to all plant safety guidelines and procedures.
Strives to maintain an injury free environment and provides safety stewardship.
Oversees the maintenance of all plant equipment and plant mobile equipment keeping it in top condition with assistance from other plant personnel.
Maintains a clean and safe shop and plant environment, implementing plant housekeeping standards.
Assists with maintenance and control of the spare parts inventory.
Assists in maintaining print files, vendor files, and the equipment maintenance records.
Assists in requisitioning parts and supplies.
Trains and develops other employees in performing preventive maintenance and routine equipment service activities; participates in plant training and skill improvement/augmentation programs.
Assists in budget planning and control.
Provides leadership and job coordination on critical repairs or projects.
Performs other duties as assigned by Plant Manager.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience performing similar work is required.
The successful candidate must be dependable, trustworthy, punctual, self-motivated, must possess excellent communication and team skills.
Some of the tasks listed will be done with the aid of a computer, others require physical labor.
Requires a strong aptitude in math, mechanical ability, production control, and project management.
Requires proficiency in working with the Windows computer operating system and Microsoft Office applications, and the aptitude to learn and use other computer applications.
