Job Description:
Our client, Hydra-Tech Pumps, based in Nesquehoning, PA is ready to hire a Full Time Mechanical Assembler to join their team! This position is responsible for all aspects of finish pump and power unit assembly to include hydraulic, electric and mechanical assembly techniques.
Ability to read, and follow prints and drawings, work to tight tolerances and create error free, high-quality assemblies is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Interprets specifications and drawings or sample parts and plans sequence of operations Create assemblies following established procedures and guidelines Wiring of control panels, motor starters, and trailers, AC and DC Fabricate, build, wire and assemble to drawings, dimensions and tolerances Continually monitor dimensional accuracy of assemblies Hydraulic hose layout for proper form and fit Assembly of hydraulic hose using crimp machines Assembly of subassemblies for power units, ie.
, reservoirs, brackets, pump drives, etc.
Finish assembly of power units, with extreme attention to detail Testing and set up of completed power units Completion of daily paperwork, and inspection and test result form Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures Maintain shop cleanliness at all times Use and store tools and test equipment properly and carefully to maximize life Confers with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information Use and store tools and test equipment properly and carefully to maximize life Assist in painting, assembly of pumps and other assemblies, following drawings and engineering instructions Meets agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner Arrives to work, meetings, appointments, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled Troubleshooting parts and machinery to insure proper performance PERIPHERAL DUTIES Interact with organizational team members and other departments in a professional manner Assists in formulating departmental plans Serves as a member of various employee and organizational committees Performs other duties as assigned Required
Experience:
Must own tools to support daily tasks Experience either in a production or job shop environment Mechanical skills in wiring, detail assembly, blueprint reading, attention to detail Demonstrated effective verbal, written, and communication skills WORKING CONDITIONS Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, various odors, machinery with moving parts, and other materials.
EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY USED Press Brake, Shear, Soldering Equipment, Hydraulic hose crimper, fork lift, other lifting devices, and miscellaneous shop tools.
